Phoenix competed at the District Oratorical Contest in Dickinson, where she placed 3rd. The oratorical contest highlights students’ knowledge and understanding of the U.S. Constitution. Congratulations, and great job representing Scranton Public School!

We have the information for the girls wrestling mixer in New Salem this weekend. The girls will leave Hettinger at 1:30 on Friday 12/05. Weigh ins are at 4:00 and wrestling will begin at 5:30. These times are all mountain time.

Boys will leave for the Mandan wrestling tournament at 7:30 on Friday 12/05.

Students grades 9-12 delivered the generously donated food yesterday to community cupboards in Amidon, Hettinger, and Bowman. They assisted with stocking shelves, cleaning and learned a bit about operations. We love supporting our communities through community service! Our student organizations collaborated together to make it happen. Thank you FFA, FBLA, Student Council, Honor Society, and Pep Club for spearheading and for the entire student body, K-12, for donating items!

The Hettinger/Scranton Nighthawks will be having their fall sports banquet on Sunday, November 23, at 6:00 in the Scranton Public School gymnasium to celebrate the accomplishments of the girls' golf, football, and volleyball athletes and teams. The Nighthawk Booster Club will be providing the main meal but are asking each family to bring their own beverage. The Nighthawk Booster Club is also asking each senior family to bring a pan of bars or cookies to share. We are asking that each team member get a head count of immediate family members who will be attending the banquet to their coach no later than Wednesday, November 19th so that we can plan accordingly for food. If you are dual sport athlete or have siblings in a fall sport, please only RSVP once for you and your family. We cannot wait for a fun night of celebrating our athletes!
