The Scranton FBLA Chapter attended the 2026 State Leadership Conference (59th) in Bismarck March 29-31, 2026. Over 60 chapters and 1300 students networked and competed while at the conference. We are so very proud of all of the Scranton FBLA Members and the work they have dedicated to the organization throughout the year. We could not participate in these types of opportunities without the support of our community - our school, our parents, our neighbors and friends. THANK YOU! 💛💙

Reading Month 2026 was ALL about America! Specifically, the 250th birthday of our great nation. Throughout the month, we learned about the Declaration of Independence, Bill of Rights, Statue of Liberty, Lincoln Memorial, Jefferson Memorial, the White House, Lewis and Clark, the Roaring 20’s, Rosie the Riveter, and much more.

Students dressed up for Dr. Seuss Day, PJ Day, wore green for St. Patrick’s Day, dressed as an American historical figure, dressed from their favorite decade, and wore red, white, and blue. We were a patriotic group for sure!

The culminating activity was our Extravaganza held in the school gym. Students from grades K-6 gave some wonderful performances by doing skits, singing songs, signing the Star-Spangled Banner, and reciting poetry. Birthday cake prepared by third grade teacher, Rachelle Bergstrom, was a delicious treat.

Awards were given to students who brought back bookmarks with qualifying minutes each week. Students received America stickers, popcorn, slap bracelets, and sparkly tattoos. Grand prizes were drawn and were as follows:

$20 Barnes and Noble gift cards:
Rowyn Oase
Max Robison
Hadley Oase
Josie Carey
Oliva Dobitz

Pickleball set:
Gus Hofland

Handmade quilts and afghans-donated by Linda Braaten:
