Due to the crazy weather, we have decided with no guaranteed way to get the Christmas cookie kits to you before Christmas, we are going to turn them into Valentine's Day kits! Mother Nature through us for a loop! If you ordered a kit (or think you did) please comment below so we know you saw this message!
Good morning, this is Kelly Pierce messaging from the Scranton School. Sorry about the late call this morning to not have school. It is crazy how different the weather conditions can be from one side of the school district to the other. With the winds picking up later today and into tomorrow, I have decided to cancel school for tomorrow, Dec. 22nd as well. Enjoy your Christmas break with family and friends, stay safe, and see all of you back here at school on January 4th!
Scranton School will not be in session today. Our buses are on the routes but having serious issues with travel. Those students who have been picked up will be returned home at this time. Looks like Christmas vacation is coming early. I will stay in touch. Stay safe everyone.

Huge shout out to the community of Scranton. The snow removal team was awesome. All of the volunteers who jumped in equipment and moved the huge amounts of snow that piled up over the blizzard. On behalf of the Scranton School, thank you for all that pitched in yesterday to make the school accessible and to those that have been helping with every other snow event this winter. This is much appreciated and a reason why this community is so special. Thank you everyone!
Good evening, this is Kelly Pierce messaging from the Scranton School. There will be no school at Scranton tomorrow, Friday, December 16th. We will also not be going virtual tomorrow as the teaching staff was asked to prepare lessons for two virtual days, and tomorrow unfortunately would be day 3 of virtual classes. We want to make sure when we go virtual we have appropriate lessons and assignments planned. Take tomorrow as a snow day. Students help dig out, help a neighbor dig out, and take the time to thank a first responder. It is times like this week that make us who we are. We will see all of you next Monday and please stay safe.
Tomorrow's (12/16) girls' basketball games in Wilton have been postponed to a future date.
The Linton Wresting Tournament is canceled.

Good evening, this is Kelly Pierce messaging from the Scranton School. There will be no in-person classes for Scranton School tomorrow, Thursday, December 15th. We will once again go virtual with our classes, so please have your children follow the protocol and check-in at the appropriate times. We need to have the students in attendance for these classes so that we do not have to make these days up later in the year. We had time to prepare for the storm so using our weather emergency virtual school plan can keep us on track to provide a positive learning environment during the blizzard. Hopefully see everyone back in the building on Friday! Stay safe everyone!
With freezing drizzle moving in, we have cancelled all practices and activities for tonight! Drive safely everyone.
Fruit is being sorted we would like it to be picked up and delivered as soon as possible before the storm. Thank you. Please text Mrs Steeke 7014400430 or school 7012758897
