Beginning October 1, 2022, interim substitute licensures may be granted for substitute teachers with a high school diploma or its recognized equivalent (GED). The applicant must submit evidence of completion of the state-approved substitute training program, Frontline. The training is 12 modules and approximately 20 hours of work. The course covers professionalism, classroom management, student engagement, instructional strategies and working with at-risk students. The cost of the training is $180.00, which will be reimbursed by the school once you sub 10 days in the District. Applicants must also complete a BCI/FBI background check and pay an application fee. If anyone in the area would like to join our Scranton Public School team, contact Kelly Pierce, Superintendent, for more information. Subs are paid $110.00 per day.
