Scranton FBLA had an eventful time at the State Leadership Conference on Sunday and Monday! We had multiple state placers and multiple national qualifiers!! In addition to achieving multiple individual awards, our chapter also received three chapter awards. We achieved second for the March of Dimes Fundraiser, second for the Chapter Activity Scrapbook, and Gold Chapter status! Seventeen high school members were recognized for completing BAAs, and all four middle level members were recognized for completing LEADs! Students whose names are highlighted in yellow are national qualifiers! They will have the opportunity to compete this summer at the National Leadership Conference in Atlanta, Georgia! I am incredibly proud of each and every member. They worked hard and represented Scranton School well!

Scranton School will start on time today. Patchy snow so please travel safely, but visibility is good as of now. We will continue to monitor the weather as the day moves forward, but looks like we can have a great day of learning today!

The forecast for this spring storm caused me to look a little foolish today. The weather sure looks like it will not be good tomorrow, but I am not going to make the same mistake. A decision will be made between 5:30 and 6:00 AM tomorrow morning and announced on this platform.

There will be NO school in Scranton today. I made this decision yesterday based on the best information I had at the time and we remain in a blizzard warning even though it now looks like the timing and severity for Scranton may be off. I do not want to cause confusion and change the decision. From now on I will show a little more patience when the storm of the season is predicted. Stay safe everyone!

Good afternoon. After looking at the weather for the next couple days and being briefed by local authorities, we are going to take the day off of school tomorrow. As far as a decision for Wednesday, that will come on Tuesday. Tomorrow morning may look alright, but we are being told that it will increasingly become bad throughout the day. If you have any questions please do not hesitate to call the school!
