Medora Musical Grades 7-12: sign up outside the music room, and give your $5 to Mrs. Conlon if you plan to go next Wednesday.
Picture Day Is Tuesday, Sept. 17, and order forms have been given to the students. There are also order forms in the school office.

Medora Musical The Medora Musical trip for grades 7-12 is Wednesday, September 4. The bus leaves Scranton at 5:30 p.m., and it is $5 to go. Please sign up outside Mrs. Conlon's room by Tuesday, August 27 by the end of the day, and bring your $5 to Mrs. Conlon ASAP.

Meet The Night Hawks! Meet the Night Hawks football event is tonight from 5:00-6:00 at the Hettinger football field.
Football! The first home game is this Friday in Hettinger. Season tickets are available to purchase in the office: Adults - $60, Adults over age 55 - $45 and Students - $45. There is no admission charge for pre-school and kindergarten. Go Hawks!

Scranton Public School had a wonderful 1st day of school. We welcomed many new students to our building and 4 new staff members as well. Mrs. Heather Salzsieder is our new Kindergarten teacher, Miss Courtney Miller will head up our 7-12 science program, Mrs. Laura Weber will bring great real-world experience to our business education program, and Mr. Ty Lachowitzer will assist us as a general education para-professional.
Our message to our students yesterday was to show up, try new things, and support one another! We want to elevate our wellness, all five areas: physical, emotional, social, environmental, and intellectual wellness. Together we can create a learning environment that is great for everyone. Let's "Soar To New Heights!"

All students in grades 7-12 who are receiving school computers must submit a computer checkout form by Monday, August 19th to receive their school issued laptops. The form may be turned in to the office or Mrs. Valloff on Monday.
Absolutely cannot wait to get going with our back-to-school teacher in-service tomorrow at 8:30. We will be bringing the staff back together to make sure we are ready for the students Monday, August 19th. Going to be a great year!
Scranton Public School is in need of a part-time custodian. This position would be afternoon or evenings and consist of general classroom cleaning. Please contact Kelly Pierce at the Scranton School if interested. 701-375-8266
Any girls interested in golfing for the Hettinger-Scranton Night Hawks we will have our first practice at the Hettinger Golf Course Tuesday August 13 at 8:00 AM. Please bring your own clubs.
Junior High and Varsity Football pictures are tomorrow afternoon at practice. Athletes should bring their entire football bag with all equipment. The bus will leave Scranton at 3:45 PM Tuesday for pictures and practice.

Football Clarification
Two a day practices for football are required for high school players. If you HAVE to miss a conditioning practice for a legitimate reason make sure you notify the coaches and prioritize the 5 PM practice so you learn the X’s and O’s.
It is much easier for you to make up conditioning on your own.
12 AM on Thursday morning is the optional midnight practice (which counts as our morning conditioning for Thursday). A bus will leave from Scranton at 11:20.
The first regular practice begins Thursday evening at 5 PM for high school players. A bus will leave Scranton at 4:20.
Reminder that tonight is the parent/player meetings for all Fall sports. All fall coaches will meet at 5:00 in the Hettinger AV room. Parents and athletes will meet in the Hettinger big gym at 6:00. We are excited to see you all there and to kickoff the fall sports this evening!
Reminder the annual bus driver training is scheduled tomorrow, August 6th in Bowman from 9:00-noon. Any individual that drives a bus for routes or activities must attend a training annually. If the Bowman date does not fit into your schedule, there are other trainings in SW ND that can used.
